PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Cover sales routes as needed. Work with and train sales support staff.  Merchandise assigned accounts.  Set up special events, assist with sales support schedule, special deliveries, assist salesperson with displays, Hand held functionality and other miscellaneous duties.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provide relief coverage for sales routes as needed
  • Check in and out with store management at all stops
  • Stock products in proper space (cold box, warm shelf, displays)
  • Rotate products to assure freshness to the consumer
  • Train new sales support staff as needed
  • Help set up special events (delivery/setup)
  • Record all hours worked on a time sheet and keep track on ADP platform
  • Record all miles driven and submit monthly recap for mileage reimbursement
  • Maintain all products for best presentation:  dust wine, face product, and utilize POS
  • Communicate regularly with each sales person assigned to the stores you are merchandising or providing sales coverage.
  • Give feedback to Team Leads to report on market conditions when in their market
  • Inform supervisor of any concerns and major out of stocks
  • Represent Alliance Beverage Distributing in a positive and professional manner
  • Arrive to work on time, alert, presentable and in appropriate Alliance attire

Qualifications:

  • Have own reliable transportation to our customer locations
  • Valid driver’s license and car insurance
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in writing, oral and/or diagram form
  • Ability to obtain a LCC license
  • Must be able to communicate with customers as well as other employees adequately
  • Ability to consistently stand on a hard surface
  • Bend to lift product and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Be able to listen to instructions and follow through

About Alliance Beverage:

In 1963 a man named Larry Gary, originally from the west side of Chicago, decided that owning a beer distributorship in Grand Rapids Michigan would be more fun than running a bowling alley. That was the moment that the company called Kent Beverage began.

At the same time a man named Tim Sullivan, originally from the east side of Detroit, was happily running a construction business. However, when Tim noticed his friends, who owned beer distributorships, were having more fun, he had to get one of his own. And he did, when he purchased B&B Beer in the late 1970’s!

Both businesses grew and prospered. Both businesses were passed from fathers to sons and continued to succeed in their territories until one day, over a pint, these two families decided to form a joint venture whereby the two companies combined would be stronger than the sum of their parts. They called the company Alliance Beverage and it was born May 13, 2013.
